After 2 days back in Rehovot, I went to Tel Aviv! Did not really see much in the 2 days, except a lot of the beach, and a lot of the sun. I managed to get a tan and avoid getting burnt!!! The weather is beautiful - sunny, with a high of 30ish and a low of 20; not a single cloud in the sky! Wednesday night was White Night (Layla Lavan) in Tel Aviv. There were people out all night along the beach and the boardwalk as well as some of the main streets. The White Night was also tied into the fact that 2009 is the 100th birthday of the city of Tel Aviv!
I bumped into 2 more people I knew in 2 seperate occasions while out for dinner before White Night, bringing the total of unexpected encouterns to 5.
After 2 days of sitting on the beach, it was time to get out of the sun. I came back to Rehovot for Shavuot and Shabbat. On Sunday I am heading back to Tel Aviv to sit on the beach yet again.
